Our homework for this month was photos of our word in our life. Our Word is Embrace. Here are the photos we chose.

1. Oldest Child embracing nature and hiking more.
2. Embracing football (pep ralley pic).
3. Boxes. Embracing Awesome Auntie's family.
4. Back to School (Embracing learning).
5. Embracing Fabulous Spouse with more alone time.
6.Embracing growing up with Girl Friday's 1st American Girl Doll.
7. Embracing grief. Illusive Middle Child's coach dies.
8. Embracing change. Nov 1st starts the rainy season.
9. Embracing Fun and family time. Happy Halloween!

As for the family… yesterday was Halloween, and so of course, there is the obligatory montage of Halloween pictures that the POW must share.

Here is the tribe carving their pumpkins. The finished pumpkins are in the last picture.

Here is the kids in there Halloween school attire (Halloween parties of our youth are no longer allowed as they might offend Wiccans (no, seriously, the school district banned it to not offend those of that religion) and people who do not play dress up).

And finally…ta da! The kids in their Halloween attire.
Oldest Child: Soldier
Illusive Middle Child: Final Fantasy Future Warrior
Girl Friday: Rapunzel
Shark Bait: Peter Pan
The WMD: Tinkerbell

Your names for your kids crack me up. (The illusive middle child...wonderful). What a deliciously fun time of your lives this is, even though I know it feels super hectic to you. All of you are together. Savor that, it too is quite illusive.

What fun pictures.
Seriously why doesn't everyone stay in their home and never leave, as we are so scared of offending everyone now a days.
I really don't think if you are a wiccan you really care about the kids halloween party.
Lighten up people, lol.
WOW, where did that come from, lol.

Great photos! I'm so doing OLW again next year because I was a total failure this year. Maybe next year will be better for me. Glad you survived Halloween! What is our society coming to that they stop all the fun stuff to try to make everyone happy. Seriously. They can sit it out if they don't like it. Don't ruin it for everyone else..... My two cents! :)

Gosh that photo #7 - a moment in your son's life that he won't ever forget. Love your Halloween photos - great pumpkins :o)

Great photo collage for your word. I'm so glad Ali's doing this again next year, it's really helped me stay focused when I would normally give up.

I love that Halloween photo of the kids on the porch - beautiful light, composition and nice and crisp. Love all the embracing you've got going on. Perfect. THanks again for participating.

Lovely set of photos and how they 'embrace' your word. I'm always amazed with Halloween celebrations (and all the crafty things you can do) as we don't celebrate down here.... unless it's a school disco.
